Big Apple Jack, Trucial Pearl and J Street take to the track on Thursday as Joanna Mason and Billy Garrity ride.
Big Apple Jack seeks his first career victory as he tackles the Napoleons Casino And Restaurant Leeds Handicap at Ripon. He ran well on his penultimate start, finishing runner up at Nottingham, and the son of Mayson has the ability to win a race or two. Only eight horses have been declared and there isn't a lot of recent winning form on offer. Joanna Mason takes over from Lewis Chalkley.

Trucial Pearl is another chasing her first victory and she'll take her chance in the Your Harrogate Ladies' Day Handicap. She's been placed three times from 11 starts, including when third last time at Catterick. The daughter of Ardad races off the same mark of 47 today and will be attempting to become the sixth winning offspring of dam Emirates Rewards. Trucial Pearl is from a fine family and is a half-sister to the ill-fated Group 2 winner Naval Power and also ten time winner Back to Dubai. Shes Got The Blues was an easy winner last time might be the one they all have to beat despite a six pound hike in the weights.
At Southwell we run J Street in the Ladies' Day Sunday 16th August Fillies' Handicap at 6.30. She was third on her penultimate outing over today's course and distance and ran well when going down by a length and a half last time, finishing fifth to Military Girl at Thirsk. A winner as a juvenile she's been with us since last autumn and this will be her fifth outing since coming to Sheriff Hutton. Billy Garritty will ride J Street for the first time, taking over from Joanna Mason who is on duty at Ripon.
