The first of this year's 50 Club horses has been named.
The two-year-old filly by Ardad, out of Emirates Rewards, will race under the name Trucial Pearl.
Trucial Pearl is derived form the 'Emirates' part of the dam's name. The Trucial States was a group of tribal confederations to the south of the Persian Gulf (south-eastern Arabia) whose leaders had signed protective treaties, or truces, with the United Kingdom between 1820 and 1892.
