Foals
| |
We're past midsummer now.
The days are slowly getting shorter, there's fruit on the trees and in the hedgerows and the inevitable signs of the coming autumn are slowly encroaching.
Out in the paddocks the foals are now growing and the oldest foals are now four months old.
The foals are becoming more independent and spending less time away from mum and their diets consist of more grass.
The mares and foals will stay together until late summer, at which point they'll be relocated and separated into colts and fillies.
We'll continue to follow them as they grow through their yearling year and then we'll see them begin their journeys to the racecourse.
But for now, just enjoy them as foals.
