Eight Mile Rock was bred by her owner Edwin ST George and made her debut at Doncaster in September 1986. She won the 'Ladbroke 3yo Handicap' at Chester in 1987. She ran her last race at Doncaster in October 1987 and was sold as a broodmare to stand in Ireland. She became the dam of winners World Express, Balwearie, Captain Bradyl and Diamond Lad.
