Spanish Steps made his debut at Pontefract in June 1994. He didn't win in his first two seasons and victory finally came at Redcar in May 1996 ridden by Jo Hunnam in the 'Kiss And Cuddle Professional Lady Jockeys' Handicap'. He ran his last race at Haydock in June 1996 and he was sold at Tattersalls Newmarket Autumn Horses in Training Sales in 1996 to John Bernard.
