Aa-youknownothing won twice from eight starts before leaving for Julie Craze's yard. Aa-Youknownothing was jokingly named after my neighbour, Alan Amies, senior racereader for Raceform, publishers of the official form-book.
During the infamous Top Cees libel case Amies was called as an expert witness, but was accused of "knowing nothing" by the cross-examining barrister. So I named a horse after Alan.
Aa-youknownothing was sold to Julie Craze at Tattersalls in 1998 for 4,000gns.
