Castletown Count started off life with Isle of Man trainer Ken Hogg, winning a Redcar seller as a juvenile. He ran for a while in point-to-points, his career starting out with running out and a fall. Castletown won on the PTP circuit and progressed to rules, winning three times over fences at Catterick and achieving a highest winning mark of 100. He mixed up his last seasons running on the flat off a mark of 35 and over jumps off marks in the hundreds and was retired in 2001.
