Chaucer's Tale was runner up on his third outing at Newcastle in November, beaten just by a few inches. He won his first race in November 2017 at Newcastle ridden by Harrison Shaw.

Chaucer's Tale was sold out of the yard at Tattersalls Autumn 2018 to E Ellrari for 3,500 gns to race overseas.
