Star Noir had proved difficult to win with but this afternoon he showed his ability by winning the Constant Security Services Novice Stakes by an astonishing eight and a half lengths.

Night Shining looked well in as she had an eight pound higher rating, yet was receiving a five pound fillies' allowance under the race conditions, but our horse tore up the form book and demolished his rival.

Star Noir is owned by the Eastscope 45 Partnership and may head for the October sales at Tattersalls this autumn, and he'll have done plenty to alert potential buyers this afternoon.

Billy Garritty was the successful rider and was riding his eleventh winner of 2026 for Mick and David.
