Joanna Mason will be in action at Gosforth Park on Friday evening as veteran handicapper Beauty Choice lines up for the second division of the seven furlong BetMGM Supports Safer Gambling Handicap.

A winner of seven of his 58 starts to date, the son of Bated Breath has a very good record on the all weather, having been successful four times from 24 races.

Joanna knows Beauty Choice well and has won aboard the gelding three times. Beauty Choice is now two pounds below his latest winning mark and races from a BHA rating of 71.

Flowstate may be the horse to beat here. He was unlucky in running when two and a quarter lengths behind Packetofbiscuits at Southwell, bidding for his third win in a row. Flowstate loves Newcastle and had previously recorded back to back course and distance wins. He has a 75% strike rate at Newcastle with three wins from four starts at Gosforth Park.
