Eligible posted his eleventh career victory, and our first win of 2026, when he took the Best Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap at Newcastle under Joanna Mason.
Eligible had been the last winner of 2025 for Mick and David when he scored at Southwell and he started the New Year in style. Now in his veteran years the the ten year old won very easily, beating Book Of Life by 2¾ lengths, and was returned at odds of 6/1.
