On Sabbatical raced four times but didn't have the pace to win a race. A sweet, kind and gentle horse we made him available for rehoming in late 2023 and since leaving racing he has blossomed.
Today we received this video from his new owner Lucy, who tells us that he is coming along very nicely in his new career off the track. Here's Lucy's update.
"I just wanted to share a few videos of Sebastian (On Sabbatical)."
"After taking it slowly given his age, I only introduced jumping a few weeks ago. We decided to head out to Port Royal to a clinic and give a new place a try!"
"He has only been introduced to jumps over the last few weeks so to see him take everything in his stride at a big venue, not put a foot wrong and us both achieve this. It's fair to say I'm over the moon."
"Sebastian is AMAZING. He’s the kindest horse with the biggest heart."
"He’s so straightforward and honest in his jumping and although he still needs to learn where his back legs are at times (he does have very long legs), it’s exciting to see what the future holds for us both."
