Four year old Canon's House lost his maiden tag in style this afternoon when he romped home by six lengths at Carlisle.
The son of Zoustar took the five furlong 'Andersons - Quality For The Home Handicap' under Billy Garritty to land the spoils at odds of 7/1.
Canon's House had run well last season, finishing third on his first three starts, but he's shown huge improvement at home and returned from a 214 day break to win for the first time in his career.
"He ran well in his first three races", said Billy Garritty after the race. "But then he just went a bit out of form".
"It's been the start that been the problem but today he was bang out on the front end and he won by as far as he liked".
